I am excited to hear how I can help you achieve your own education and career goals.
For Professionals: If you are a professional considering a career change, looking for new opportunities or just in need of updating your documents, I am here to help.
For Students: Thinking about graduate school? In high school needing support with college choices and applications? I can help you match your skills to schools and support you during the application process.
After a productive 20-year career as a professor in the Humanities I have branched out to “teach” people in all phases of their education and career journeys. I offer services in education planning (college, graduate school preparation and applications) and professional planning (career goals, career changes, resume and CV document support, interview support and preparation). I use a sliding scale for payment so that executives and high school students alike can afford the support they seek.
In academia, my work as an Africanist focused on interdisciplinary teaching, global cultural competencies, and cutting-edge research on 20th century art and production on the African continent and in the diaspora. I taught students and early career professionals how to find their strengths, begin their careers, apply to graduate school, and more.
I have taught at Lehigh University, Columbia University, Smith College, Sarah Lawrence College, Vassar College and SCAD. I have worked at and consulted for multiple museums and non-profits including the Brooklyn Museum, the Bruce Museum, Yonkers Riverfront Library, the Smith College Museum of Art, and Pheobe Ministries of Allentown.
I am multilingual (French, Wolof, Spanish) and culturally competent across the US, European, African, and Asian diasporic populations.
